Its quite impressive and humbling to see an intense game between young adults wearing flip flops and shooting at a wire rim erected on wooden pole on a sidewalk, all while traffic is zooming by a few feet away. Of course there are more standard courts and they even have their own pro league. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there have only been three Filipinos whove made it to the NBA, and they were of mixed heritage and went to school in the US.
