^damn would people rather be broke than make. Some money? Better than nothing no?

Are you saying you really can't think of any reasons why a person wouldn't go back to a high traffic work environment with the variant raging?

I feel like people playing the "they just don't want to work" card are part of the reason folks don't want to go back to these jobs. They just seem like real charmers.

Variant or not, yall still have bills to pay

Pretty sure taking those low paying jobs are better than nothing. Just saying.

You didn't answer my question. Are you saying you can't think of *any* reason people wouldn't go back to those specific jobs?

That wasn't a reason why people *wouldn't* go back, which is what I asked twice. If you seriously can't think of anything it's fine to say so and I'll list some.

So, you want corporations to keep screwing over the working class?
That is exactly what he wants. He said so before. But there's no way a guy like that has a stable job. He's either a NEET living with his parents or homeless himself and drags down other people to his level.

Maybe those places should pay more so that people would want to work at them

Or maybe they should use that as motivation to strive to have higher life aspirations than expecting Walmart and McDonalds to give them the big bucks for doing minimum wage work.

No, they're not better than nothing. That's the point. We're tired of being wage slaves, divvying out our good years and precious time and earth doing bullshit for bullshit compensation. The beginning of Covid was the closest the human race has come to annihilation since the Cold War; it felt like the beginning of every zombie outbreak story. Made everyone realize we could die tomorrow and we shouldn't be burning away precious life on nonsense. Basically the Office Space effect.

How do you pick yourselves up by your boot straps if you don't have boots

You're literally describing the hunger games mentality; those jobs will still exist regardless, so then we just have to continually work insanely hard just to get a rung higher on a ladder that slants backwards while those born under the right conditions just cruise on an escalator.

I reckon all the people bitching about low staffed places and crying about how these positions aren't being filled are failing to recognize that they're part of the reason a lot of people are refusing to go back to work at these shit wages to deal with shit customers like themselves.

You talk a big game when you can't be thrown on the street, but now those protections are gone. Believe it or not most people would rather have a roof over their head than not.

Why the fuck would someone willingly work a minimum wage part time job where they get treated like shit by management and customers when they can literally open the Indeed app and find a work from home full time job that pays $20/hr plus benefits

I've been tipping more and better for ok service.

Pre-covid on take out I wouldn't tip or I would tip the remaining change. Now I'm giving at least dollar + change, except at the places that only allow pre-set %s, them I leave 0 for takeout.

Places that are more dine in focused I'm leaving $2+ change for take out.

I'm still not dining in.

People are getting thrown out anyway because smaller landlords are selling out to rental corporations or landlords with 50+ properties. It's a loophole.
