we're not talking about a missed job opportunity or the loss of a scholarship, we're talking about a shitty dating app. there are degrees of effect that are so low as to be pointless, this falls well into that category...

It's significantly less impactful, but dealing with stuff like that is still unpleasant. Just not a reason to be bitter at women/the world.

The whole "Sorry no Black guys, my family wouldn't approve!" thing... it was something I saw multiple times when I used to use those apps. Those type of people probably raise kids who are taught to "stick to their own".

There is nothing wrong with wanting someone of the same race as you.
There's also nothing wrong in wanting to only be with someone of X race (that isn't yours).

The problem is how people (who ares aying this) accept this.
'No black people' means what?
To you it's 'fuck, I can't get with her'.
To me it's 'she's a racist and you avoided a red flag'.

I'm white. Does that mean I 'have' to have a white mom of my kids? No.
Does that mean I might prefer a white mom of my kids? maybe?

But if I turn down an entire fucking race simply on the basis of 'my parents won't approve, mixed race kids struggle, the fucking moon isn't lit up tonight' then don't be bitter. Understand I'm a racist and you avoided a major red flag.

It kind of sucks that the whole "no black dudes" is a thing, you cannot really do anything about it except also stay away from them yourself. That is the most prudent move in my opinion, well if they do not want to date me then i do not want to date them. Thats it move on. I can see where you're coming from. Growing up in NH everyone was white aside from the 1 in 10,000 PoC. I grew up only liking white women. Then I moved to Las Vegas and my mind changed drastically.
