I loved these books as a kid, and I'm watching the first part now.

This valedictorian/drug dealer girl better be seceretly evil or she's making absolutely no sense right now. They've already established that the monsters are targeting Sam, they're not targeting anyone else, so if Valedictorian wants to save herself she can just leave. Why is she so obsessed with pushing Sam to her death on the way out, lol?

Also happy that they didn't drag out the lesbian reveal. I figured it out immediately, and was going "Yeah, OK, I get it. Sam's a girl. I'm way ahead of you movie." for like ten minutes. There's still time for the goofball guy to come out though, right?

I've watched them all. I never read the books but I thought they were all fine. I had nitpicks with a few characters and plot consistency stuff but overall they were fun movies.

3 > 1 > 2 imho

Just started 1978 now. Pretty sure that I've clocked the plot twist this time though.

My wife watched all three last night. I caught the end of the second movie and then all the third one. Although I was only half paying attention

Never read the books, but saw the movies. They were ok I guess? Kinda interesting, but a fair amount of the characters came off really unlikable.
