Eh, forza, gran turismo, and F1 all have a purpose. I'm not a fan, but gearheads love those games and that's fine.

The driver feedback was I dont have the confidence on the throttle that I think I should have. In fact, some of the feedback we had recently was they say that in a modern Formula 1 car the feeling of getting on the throttle is very similar to how our game in 19 would have been if you had medium traction control on.

Honestly, some games try too hard to be a sim, that it becomes unrealistic.

In Forza Horizon 4, some cars can't put even a tiny bit of power down if you turn off all the assists, even when you put 330mm rear tyres.

JRPGs. I can't stand the slow burn story unfolding. I feel like all the tropes are the same and turn-based combat is a vestige of early PC gaming. I hate grinding and random encounters is the laziest way a game developer can still get away with padding a game in 2021.

I also don't care for sports games. I just don't care unless they are doing something that makes it less grounded in reality (NFL Blitz, Mario Tennis)

FPS games are mostly all the same I do like how Doom has made effort to break from the stale mold but shooting things that aren't monsters or vampires or zombies or dinosaurs is some lame theming. I tolerate the people that play FPS games online even less.

I have no beef with god sims or RTS games, I just don't have the focus for playing those types of games.

I think you mean turn-based games. A game being a JRPG doesn't force it to have turn-based gameplay with grinding and random encounters

Oh, right. And I hate visual novels most of all. I play games to...well, play games. Not read a picture book <_<

No, but I don't really care for games like Monster Hunter, Xenoblades or Kingdom Hearts either even though they are action RPGs, technically (Dark Souls either for that matter).

It can be done right though. I don't mind the turn-based combat in Darkest Dungeon and I actually think that it was done well in Final Fantasy 7 and Chrono Trigger.

I'm old school so mostly I'm referring to classic RPGs and even games like Final Fantasy X.

I think Square realized that tapping X doesn't equal compelling gameplay so they are actually putting in the effort these days.
