I thought the ending was a sledgehammer, and easily the best of any of their movies. I can't remember the last time a movie gutted me in the last literal second before credits but... damn. That frame is going to stick with me for awhile. I knew that Maud was full of shit and could sense the movie was going to pull the rug out, and even though a million hints made the outcome clear, the wrap up was phenomenal.

Very eerie slow burn character horror, imo. It deals with social anxiety, loneliness and acceptance way more than it does horror tropes. I thought it did it justice way more than The Witch or Midsommar, even though I loved both, they had wet fart endings imo.

I know it's not everyone's wheelhouse, but Reddit fucking hates it. I would love this movie to get more traction. For primarily being a two actress cast, the atmosphere and slow burn is on point for A24.

Reddit is a shit show, I wouldn't worry about their taste.

Still haven't seen it. Came out at a pretty bad time imo. Is it streaming?

I believe it's on Hulu or Amazon premium/prime respectively, but I'm not sure. I watched via other means.
