Current Events > In the past week I have beaten Dead Space 1 and 2 for the first time.

Dead Space - 8/10
Dead Space 2 - 8.5/10

Not sure why I put them off for so long, they were a good time. I only used the basic plasma cutter for each game.
Though I will admit I really have no idea what the story is when it comes to the markers and what they do.

I know 3 get a bad rap. Should I still play it?

I found it a bit more moody/scary, also there are parts towards the end of 2 where they just throw so much at you and that is pretty intense.

3 starts off really rough but once you get past the opening it's much better than the internet would have you believe. The first third or so of the game after the opening is one of my favorite settings in the series, and even the stuff on the ice planet is pretty fun because they play with whiteouts and visibility a lot. Also a lot of crazy lore shit happens.

Congrats. I remember DS1 on the 360, couldn't bring myself to finish it, just got bored from the repetitive jump scares.

I wont argue this but i personally think they are 9/10s but for different reasons.

3 is ok. The story is shitty and gameplay is meh. The game starts to feel like a drag to get through. I recently played it after not playing it for years so its fresh in my mind if you have questions.
