i played it for a bit on my lunch break and did a few rounds of Survival. it seems cool and i like how you get a perk after each stage.

i did notice some weird input delay with my XB One controller, which never happened before.

not sure 4 is allowed even on local co-op?

people use a program called Parsec (i think?) that simulates local play over the net so you can do 3 player runs for sure. people group up on discord. see /r/streetsofrage for more inro

4-player local co-op has been in the game since launch. I heard 4-player was coming to online as well, although I may be mistaken.

Just played my first round of survival with my 3 sons. I was Max and they were all Estel lol (thank goodness for the new palette swaps! Before they used to fight over who gets to be Adam.) It was a lot of fun! Loved seeing the retro enemies/arenas and lots of new weapons. The perks are really neat, almost gives it a Binding of Isaac feel.

i did a Survival round last night and got up to level 15 before dying. unlocked two alternate moves for Blaze (blitz, defensive special) and both are quite different than the originals, so i'm curious to see what i can do with her now. im with you that the perks are real cool. by the end i had fire and lightning on both blitz and specials and double fire on weapon attacks.

i played around with Shiva a bit and like his moveset. have a lot to learn though.

the new training mode is really cool. definitely recommend at least doing the "Tricks" lessons for the character(s) you main.

if you like the main game it's totally worth it, especially for $8. three new characters, new weapons, alternate movesets for SoR4 chars, survival mode.

even without the DLC you get Mania+ difficulty and training.

This DLC is absolutely fucking amazing. So worth it. Survival mode is going to keep me coming back for a long long time.

For some reason I didn't care for survival my first run through...but once I unlocked a couple alternate moves, played through all the new tutorials and tested the new characters in the regular game modes, damn am I having a blast with the DLC. Excited to nail that survival mode and get all the new techniques!

Secret character? Whoa thats crazy. This DLC is a lot of fun and will add a ton of replay value to the base game for sure.

My kids and I made it to wave 15 this morning. Theyre still quite young so it gets to be a bit difficult for them but they still have fun together. And we can level up multiple characters at once this way haha.

Playing survival now. Generally don't care of this type of mode but the power ups and exp gained makes it lots of fun. They did a great job with this mode.

Definitely. I like that they really embraced the simulation idea and went all-out with the arenas, traps and weapons. The retro levels are always fun too. Havent seen any SOR1 levels yet, did any make it in?

Shiva is so fun. Going from ground to the air to the anime dash attack into a slam down bounce into another combo is just a blast. I love everything they added here.

I havent had much time to play him yet. I tried Roo and Estel this morning though. I wasnt expecting much from Roo since he was pretty bad in SoR3 but hes decent here. Estel was fun. Not sure which of her Blitz attacks are better. I do think Maxs clothesline blitz might be worse than his power slide.

to my knowledge Roo is the only hidden character discovered so far
