So my tinder babe just recently started complaining about painful urination and I happened to noticed a small sore of their genitals the other day. They claim that its probably a staph infection from the area getting rubbed raw from all the hot sex we are having, but Im not sure. Ive personally never have had anything like this so Im curious if anyone here has or has dealt with genital herpes. Any advice or personal experience would be much appreciated. Thanks again!

Tons of ppl have herpes. The majority of people, actually, as you look at older subsets of the population. There's little reason to make a distinction between location or strain (oral vs genital). Many people have a single outbreak and never do again. You can readily get a prescription for valacyclovir from your GP or from a visit to urgent care if you want, if you end up feeling like you're having an outbreak, either orally or on the genitals.

Yeah herpes isn't really a big deal anymore. They have great treatments for it.

I don't have it but I've thought a lot about what I'd do if a partner had herpes.
