I know what people are mad about, but them intentionally looking for something to be mad at her for is on them. She had been rude to a friend and felt bad about it. That's the long and short of it.

No, she was making light of the situation she SHOULD ACTUALLY APOLOGIZE FOR. You know damn well when she made that title it was going to attract everyone that saw her previous meltdown. She baited them, and then made 100% sure to ignore the idea of apologizing for the actual BS she pulled.

Most of the people she targets do exhibit transphobic tendencies tbh. I can't speak to what started the feud because I wasn't really paying attention back then, for all I know he said shitty things to her as well. So I'm hesistant to share what's probably only half of the story. But as I remember it, he was opening up about being sexually abused when he was young and how it affected him, and gunpla jumped in to tell him to stay away from women because men who were abused were more likely to be abusers themselves. I remember people talked about that for months, but then it kinda just faded away.

Then people dogpiled and started gaslighting and she lashed out at them for it. Things escalated and she got inflammatory enough to get warned. When she mentioned Cleo, it was taken the wrong way and the dogpilers/gaslighters foamed at the mouth even more. The point she was trying to make was that her initial statements, like Cleo's initial statements, were not wrong in any way. Instead, people twisted it into "if people are shit talking me, they should be shit talking Cleo too" which is a mischaracterization. The topic was only derailed into her arguing with people because she defended herself. Did she make things worse by approaching it defensively instead of being more coolheaded about it? Yes, obviously. She, however, was not the one who caused the topic to be about her. Everyone talking bullshit made it about her. There were at least half a dozen posts on the first page alone that were deleted for being blatantly offensive to the topic creator and several more like them later which led to others being warned well before her. They were mostly ignored even when quoted, and those that were called out had only 1 or 2 posts calling them out, while she got pages and pages worth of incessant dogpiling. It looks like she gave those people exactly what they wanted here though, which is unfortunate. She should have been more tactful after the warning and just left it alone...

That an interesting take on the situation, I wasnt there so I dont know but what you say seems perfectly plausible to me given what Ive seen on CE. Certain CEmen have a religious zeal with trying to make out others as terrible humans as possible and if they find an ounce of socially acceptable justification to condemn someone then you can bet theyre gonna use it to the utmost and drive the point home how a terrible human the user is into the ground. Like I said earlier, its almost like they get pleasure out of being able to say how horrible someone is, its just a weird psychology for me to relate to personally. I feel like its one thing to condemn someone for their actions its another thing to make condemnation an opportunity for a public flogging out of it because it feels good to be feel righteous.

As for everyone saying she was getting dogpiled: She could have just left the topic and everything would have been fine. There wasnt a single transphobic thing said in that topic. At all. But she kept acting like everyone was being transphobic. She was (trying) to gaslight people into saying stuff, but no one said anything other than "That sucks for you, but this isnt the time or place for this particular discussion" and she doubled down, then tripled down.

Saying "Well shes nice to me so idk" is like watching your friend berate a black person for their skin color and you just smile and nod because she bought you an icecream cone earlier. Its disgusting.

Thank you. I dont have any real issues with her personally; and I'll go to bat for ANYONE that's being unfairly treated, but the shit she pulled recently is just an example of that: She was treating other users unfairly. Had anyone made a transphobic remark in that topic I would have said something to them too. I left Sk8 alone because what he said was neutral, and I understand hes still upset with her so it wasnt worth the argument.

this part didn't happen though. Anyone who actually read her first post in the topic that she was warned in would not be able to honestly say that she said anything. 75% of the post was sympathetic, comforting and benevolent toward the topic creator. The part about her own situation was briefly mentioned as context. Not to mention, her post was amidst a bunch of deleted posts (several people got warned) saying things like "hell yeah now you don't need birth control!" and other shit like that. She was not at all making anything about herself.

Then, people started talking shit to and about her, being judgmental as fuck and twisting things around. She defended herself and got heated and that's when things got derailed and she started lashing back too hard. She didn't even say anything negative to or about Cleo. It was a matter of "people should be treating me as respectfully as they are treating Cleo here, but they aren't," NOT "people should be shitting on Cleo here like they are shitting on me, but they aren't." Yet the latter is the narrative being sprayed all over by the very same people that started attacking her in the first place. It's fucking transparent and it's bullshit.

That's why it became about her. She wasn't going to stop defending herself and she shouldn't have. She should have done so differently, but she said nothing to warrant being attacked in the first place, which is why that first post was never deleted. She even asked why the other deleted posts were being ignored in spite of being visible in quoted posts (ignored EVEN BY THE TC HIMSELF) which anyone and everyone should have also been wondering as well.

It's a phenomenon that is unfortunately becoming more widespread and malicious. I can't take credit for the term though. It just seemed appropriate between its context when I heard it and the context of the topic in which gunpla was warned.
