At the same time the homelessness problem in this city is absolutely atrocious, it's honestly pathetic the city allows things to be the way they are. Homelessness disproportionately affects the LGBT and black communities but I have to wonder how many of those businesses and households have done anything, let alone anything substantial to try to help solve the problem. I imagine most of them think their little lawn signs are contribution enough.

This city has a few cool points to it, but overall it's pretty sucky. I think I'll be leaving soon.

So people shouldn't support black or LGBT rights unless those people have perfect lives? And how exactly are they going to attain that if there aren't people who support them?

Yawn, obvious right wing edgelord obviously trying to hide the fact the flags upset him

Let's be honest here -- most businesses in Seattle are only flying BLM and LGBT flags in hopes that their places won't be destroyed or looted during the next riot, or are doing it because everybody else is. I doubt most of them actually believe in those causes. Honestly, a lot of homeowners probably feel the same way, or are facing social pressures to put up those markers.

While Seattle has a homeless problem, it also has issues with widespread civil unrest and law enforcement has been handcuffed, which is why you see videos of brazen daylight robberies. The crime and unrest has finally gotten so bad that even politicians aren't trying to pander to dangerous fringe movements like Defund the Police

In fact, their candidates are acknowledging that getting of cops was a fucking stupid idea and that the city clearly needs more cops.
