A viral vide of a young boy RIPPING up the AMERICAN FLAG from a lawn and throwing it on the ground has outraged conservatives after pro-trump heifer, Ricky Lee shared the meme which has been viewed more than 3 MILLION times!!

It was at unknown location where a little boy with his mother were crossin by and he goes and stops and goes back to pull the flag off and then rode off

Marie Oakes, a senior editor at Canadian and US news site Westphalian Times who said "children are being raised to desecrate the flag"

It signaled a strong response from conservatives who say socialists are destroying america by raising them to hate the country they were brought up in despite having peace and security that america offers them

Yeah, because having cheaply available consumer electronics makes up for institutional racism, massive income inequality, that millennials onward are unlikely to be able to afford their own house ever, etc.

Nah, thats misleading.

The US certainly used racism, slavery and exploitation to achieve its standing, but it is not about those things. It simply has ideals that it hasnt fully lived up to yet, plus every generation keeps redefining what exactly those ideals are and how to achieve them. If this werent true, we would never see it continuously evolving into a nation that a lot of people from other countries are willing to risk life and limb to become a citizen of. Theyd avoid it like the plague. Keep in mind that, yes, it is absolutely important to teach the history of the US to its citizens and, yes, not everyone wants to immigrate to the US. But its also no coincidence that the countries you do hear people wanting to live in, such as Canada, Australia, Germany, England and so on, are quite similar to the US, as in having a very troubled past they had to overcome and a democratic government that has its economy powered by regulated capitalism.
