hard to say because much like basketball and football, there were guys who played decades ago that most of us didn't get to see play who great players so you can't just pick players from one era and label one of them the best ever. Some tennis fans would say Boris Becker was the best ever and others would say Bjorn Borg or Pete Sampras or John McEnroe or Andre Agassi or Rod Laver or Jimmy Connors or Ivan Lendl etc so the list could go on and on.

In basketball, most people call Jordan the GOAT, and people from an older generation will say, Oscar Robertson so it's a matter of opinion and era's.

Do people actually watch tennis? I assumed it was just mostly rich people that watched to make themselves feel superior to everyone else
