I am the latter tbh. I have no idea what sort of world I want to live in from a big picture point of view. I just see things that Republicans are doing, and the statues they allow to exist, and frankly I just get maf. I have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to fascism and racism, full stop. With that said, I have absolutely no idea what sort of conceptual, moral, or political framework is best, but frankly, I feel that we are in better hands with experts such as scientists or committed public servants than, well, privileged billionaires or what have you. When people talk about things one world government, or Chinese and Blackrock buying single family homes, I can only shrug, for I just don't feel like I have a dog in those fights afaik. I simply react to things that I don't like on principle that I cannot tolerate, such as fascism, racism, misogyny, and all forms of intolerance. I wonder at times whether I should be looking more at the big picture, but who has the time? Discuss.

People are quick to unholster their talking points without really understanding the breadth of the issue and all those it affects.

Pushing what? I barely know what any of this stuff is. I admittedly mentioned a conspiracy theory with an air of ambivalence, that is all. I actually thought that that particular conspiracy theory was about monetary policy, like "resetting everyone's credit score to zero" like in Project Mayhem. This is how little research I do into these things. I am not an expert on these theories which you expouse as you appear to be. I appreciate being corrected but I do not tolerate any intimation that I believe such vile, disgusting lies. This is your last warning.

What choice do I have? Who do you recommend reading, for starters? I want to educate myself in political science, but I spend so much time self-teaching various Engineering concepts that I have little bandwidth left typically for liberal arts. I didn't really even know what the electoral college was until 2016.

The Great Reset wasn't always a conspiracy theory. It was just a rallying cry to use the pandemic as an opportunity to rebuild sustainable industries until Trudeau fucked everything up and then Qanon got a hold of it.

It's entirely possible TC didn't know about the more recent developments.

Yeah I thought it was the same thing as Build Back Better but I stepped in a land one. I have A LOT to learn when it comes to liberal arts imho, there are so many interwoven concepts.

Started out as a term used by world leaders to mean "we can use these terrible circumstances as an excuse to build back better than before," and was co-opted by the "great replacement/white genocide" qanon types to be just that.
