I call multiple discovery / simultaneous invention.

EDIT: I've googled around and can't find any references to using "John Wick" as a term for someone who thinks they are muuuuuch better than they are which leads them to dying by fighting 3 or 4+ people solo.

Their is, apparently, a John Wick Fortnite skin.

I stopped playing right around when they added role lock, but even at launch it was frustrating as a tank to watch your team YOLO to their death. All they had to do was stand behind the goddamn shield. </Reinhardt thoughts>

League instead of Overwatch, but I know the pain of tanking for idiots all too well.

Either you engage and they just stand there while the enemy team kills you for free (When your team is close enough and healthy enough and have their cooldowns ready etc)...

Or they run in and get themselves killed before you can get in there.

Both instances are, naturally, "your fault".

I'm convinced OverWatch 2 was Activision responding to all the loot box lawsuits and legislation. The moment everybody stopped talking about it, OverWatch 2 was put on slow burn. There's no other reason why they would make it fully backwards compatible with the first game except, imo, so they could have a version with loot boxes and a version without for the countries that ban them.

The fact that players from the first game could play with people who owned the sequel meant that there were going to be no plans to fundamentally alter the core structure of the game or change characters in some meaningful way. To me it always just seemed like the same game, but without loot boxes.

My group of friends and I have our own fortnite verbiage.

When I started playing with them, they called people better than them "sweats" and I misheard them and thought they called them "swedes", so I asked why and from then on we call people better than us Swedish.

Ironically, a study came later where it was found most of Fortnite cheaters come from Sweden.

Overwatch is a fun game but way too many stupid people play it, holy shit.

I was in a rank match once (this was before role-cue was implemented) where I had this 4-stack group of idiots on my team. They were already bad, but near the end of the match one of them said, "Quick, everyone switch to tanks!" So all of the people in the 4-stack went to tanks except one guy who was Widowmaker and was getting, like, no kills.

But yeah, we lose (obviously). The guy who was Widowmaker actually apologized to his buddies and said he should have switch. The guy who suggested everyone go tank told him that it was fine and proceeded to chastise me and the other person that wasn't in the group, claiming that had we switched to tank with everyone else we would have won. Yeah... Fuck me...

Well there was that meta where tank spam was what was going on in Pro play. I don't think you ever wanted more than 4 though. Edit: I also think it only worked with Ana and the buffed Roadhog. Been a while though.

Wait, if there won't be loot boxes in OW2 how will we buy skins? Just through earning credits and time-based events?

Probably via seasonal battle pass rewards, which are basically the new lootbox in terms of persistent monitization schemes.
