Its the game boards that have been revamped

of course if we dont speak out about this now theyll eventually push it to the social boards as well

I wasn't happy with the game cover media being taken away in the last beta that was had, I enjoy seeing the different cover art and age ratings in different countries.

You can still see the different box art. It's under the "See More Release Information..." link at the bottom of the Home section. They are still clickable to see larger images as well.

From a quick skim, it's a big improvement from the last one but it absolutely needs the search bar badly.

Some more feedback. Im currently on mobile so I dont know if this true in on Desktop but when I click on my notification that there is a new message in a topic that Ive made or tagged, it doesnt take me to the most recent post Ive seen since Ive last visited that topic. It takes me to the very beginning at post 1. So I have to go through many posts to find the most recent post to look at.

This does not apply to CE since it doesnt look like it is part of the beta

Search missing in an oversight, will have it back up and running before the actual beta launch. I'll try to keep monitoring this topic but I have to step away for at least a while. Feel free to keep leaving feedback here or via the forms linked on the landing page of the first post.

Edit: Notifications aren't going to be working yet, either, since they are based on a different URL structure that isn't live yet. We have to be really careful with the beta because we don't want Google to accidentally crawl it so some of the features are gonna be a bit wonky like this.

Yeah i had a look at a few and was all set to whinge about it and then remembered this site is supposed to be about guides and answers, and those parts of the pages were prominent so i can't really criticize.
I used to use the site for discovering new-to-me old games but it's understandable that they want to move away from being an all-encompassing games database and just concentrate on the cheats.

Definitely better than the first rollout. The console filtering appears to be easier to navigate (though I am using the classic view)
I also liked the split between forum popularity and FAQ popularity, providing a difference between active communities and sought-after guides.

However, I still really like preserving console-specific popularity, otherwise new releases will get drowned out in favor of multiplats (for instance Disgaea 6). Having the search function will be nice as well.

Even so, it would be nice if it was possible to wait until all planned features are complete. What we have now is still easier to navigate and make sense of things. At least it would be a slight downgrade instead of a significant one.

Combining the boards is an alright idea/good way to make information more immediately accessible.
However the redesigns are flat out awful compared to what we currently have.
Modern has no clear color spaces between topics or posts, makes game boards unusable IMO. "Classic" is tolerable on topic list but cramped in topic.
Neither are a good change from the current style, which is responsive, clearly laid out and I'd guarantee usable on any device and connection, regardless of power or quality.
Don't turn this site into ungainly, user unfriendly trash like reddit or discord. It never was and it doesn't need to be.

tbf the feed back was mostly "don't." Which has been made abundantly evident not to be a choice. So they acted on what little feedback they could action to make it look less like someone smeared poo all over the walls. The problem was there wasn't enough people offering real suggestions on how to fix it, so what got rolled out was still poo smeared all over the walls.

I will say this much, this time around the beta doesn't give me a headache right off the bat, so...They are listening to feedback, just nothing to the effect of "don't change it." 'Cause apparently that's not an option. :/
