Hard to end something that apparently makes a lot of money. But you know what there isn't? Another Alex Rider movie, after the first bombed >_>

Looked up Anthony Horowitz. Kinda surprised to learn he was behind Foyle's War. Tried watching an episode of it years ago when I was on a detective binge, but the whole thing was lousy.

Supposedly his projected net worth is $20m, so maybe he's not still doing stuff like that for the money.

I remember liking the first few books as a kid but as I got older I lost interest. It never felt like there was ever actually endgame sight as each book was fairly self-contained (basically James Bond for kids), so Im surprised to hear it ever ended in the first place. And not surprised at all that its back.

I finished Crocodile Tears; I'm debating if I should continue.

There's apparently a TV series in the U.K.

How old is Alex Rider at this point? In the first book he was like 12 yeah? That's all I ever read.

Apparently the franchise is 20 years old and he's done 13 books during that time. Given how much I've heard the name over the years, I had thought there was a lot more to it. But maybe that's also because some of them have become graphic novels. I think I might have even glanced at one of the graphic novels at some point.

I was also surprised to learn he'd done some episodes of Midsomer Murders (can't remember how much of that I watched) and a few episodes of Poirot (a show that I loved).
