With race it's not a valid concern. Every race is 99% the same . It's all about looks. You don't need to look like another race to embrace their culture

This is a new thing that is just coming to light and we dont quite understand it yet.

The progressive thing to do is stay quiet on this situation and study it until we fully understand it. More and more people are starting to come out and there is a lot that we can learn.

We gain LITERALLY nothing by dismissing them and just calling them "mentally ill".

I think anyone ok with trans race stuff is either ignorant or purposely trying to discredit liberal values. I suspect many of the people defending transrace tonight are Trump fans working to gaslight people

The term blackface is grossly misused nowadays. Blackface is purposefully creating a caricature to mock, belittle, and otherwise insult black people. At the same time it was also used to deny black people jobs.

Just because you put on some dark makeup, cosplay as another race (fictional or otherwise,) or just happen to tan darker than most, doesn't make it blackface.

American is not a race.

Racial identity is not bent to a biological state like gender identity is. That comparison makes no sense.

I wonder if in 50 years the future generation of progressives will be fighting for transracial rights.

"American" is not a race, it's s nationality. You could move to Japan and eventually become a Japanese citizen if you wanted to be Japanese.

But race is a social construct, it's based on your parents their parents and the perception with society. If you're white then you'll always be white and get all the potential benefits and drawbacks based on thst, despite whatever surgeries you get.
