Daytime highs have been upwards of 49C for the past several days in a row. That's hotter than Las Vegas ever has been. This is fucked up.

All these fires just mean even more fires and heat waves. Dont even want to think about how bad things are gonna be in 5-10 years.

90% of the town was destroyed, effectively wiping it off the map. It went from being the most talked about town in Canada to non-existence in three days.

This is merely the tip of a very large iceberg, pun intended. Its nothing compared to the coming decades. Earth is stuck in a bad feedback loop. The more ice melts from the poles the faster things will heat up, which will melt more ice faster, which will make things heat up even more etc. The white ice caps bounce back a lot of light/heat energy but much more coming in from the Sun will be absorbed with those gone. Then there's the warming oceans which is another feedback loop, the huge water bodies will absorb and trap increasingly more heat. People concentrate too much on CO2 and miss the big picture.

Yeah, Ive been posting pics in my threads showing the temps lately. People in Alberta were whining about 30 lol.

Theyre going to go back to global warming again as the new fear tactic to scare us all into going green. People in positions of power are already blaming this on fracking, as if they had fracking and thousands of vehicles on the road hundreds of years ago through all the other heat waves.

It is rather high. I highest I've ever been in is 41c and that was up in Valleyview (near Grand Prairie) back in I think 1989 or so

Well, 115 was certainly the hottest day I have ever lived through, although I never went outside so it was only 70 for me.

But yeah, I live in this area to AVOiD post 100 temps (like the plague), it's sad that you almost can't do that anywhere now.

Its Fort McMurray all over again...
Shit like this will keep happening. I really scared for when it hits major city, like Vancouver, Seattle, or Portland.
