Was just watching an episode of An Idiot Abroad, and Ricky told Karl over the phone that it was 60 degrees in London.

I'm pretty sure that only happens in TV when they're trying to appeal to an American audience.
I use Fahrenheit in one context only: my meat thermometer. I find the larger range of numbers makes for more precise temperature gauging. --- CE's Resident Scotsman. https://imgur.com/ILz2ZbV ... Copied to Clipboard!

That makes sense. It's in the second season. After the success of the second season, they wanted to go after our larger population.

Celsius absolutely makes sense for medical and scientific measurements. But not using a scale of approx 1 - 100 for the ambient air temperature is really silly.

I have heard it on rare occasions, usually when it's warm in the summer, e.g. 70+ for us, sometimes the 60s, and sometimes alongside Celsius in weather forecasts. I.don't think I've ever heard it used for winter temps.
