I have work tomorrow which includes driving up to shelton and down to Lacey, about 2-3 hours of driving all together.

I do that every day, but my AC is out (compressor) and I have not driven around in over 100 degree temp (let alone 111!!) without AC ever.

I'm kinda worried. It's alot of driving and even with my windows down I'm afraid how hot it is going to get in my car. I'll leave the windows down when I work as well (since the car will be parked in the sun) so hopefully that will keep it from getting much hotter inside).

I drive 40 mins up to shelton in the morning (get there by 9 am), so it'll be cool then. Then I drive about an hour from there to Lacey at 11:30, and then I work till 3:30 and drive home (about another hour).

Mostly worried about the drive home tbh, as even by 11:30-12:30 it hopefully won't have reached peak temps (it'll be 109 today but it's only 92 out right now at 12:20).

That last hour drive back seems scary to me. I know there are a buncha people who live in Arizona on here, and some of you must have driven in post 100 degree temps with no AC....how bad is it going to be?

Do you have any suggestions? I can't like be spraying myself with water at least on the way to work, though I could bring a spray bottle to use on the way back home I guess.

What missing information? It's not humid here really, um, I can't think of anything else? I'm a normal human but I hate hot temps (anything over 80) so I'm REALLY not used to anything warmer than 90 degrees. I have the AC set to 68 at home. I can't sleep with temps over 80 and generally avoid going out if it's over 85...but now i'm working so no choice.

That is what I'm hoping, with the windows down it might not be too hot, or like a sauna or something, and it's only for an hour really (might be over 90 for the 11:30-12:30 drive as well though).

I don't want to cancel as i'm seeing a 90+ year old client who doens't have AC in her room and I want to make sure she is ok, but at the same time, 111 is freaking scary to me.

like, I can't stand anything over 22c indoors... or outdoors... but in a car driving on the highway it's different, it's awesome

Oh lol, sorry, just figure most on here know I'm in the US. It's Fahrenheit. If it was 111 celcius I wouldn't be posting right now i'd be dead.

It's going to really suck, even with windows down. Get some cold packs and stick them in a cooler. Place one over your shoulder as you drive, replace as needed.

And get your AC fixed at some point so you don't have to put up with that again. I lived without AC in my truck in 2018 and it was fucking awful.

I already blew 300 trying to get my AC fixed, but the place just replaced the filter and topped the freon without testing the compresser. I went back in because the AC still wasn't working and they came out and were like, oh it's your compresser, it'll be 987$ to replace it.

I'm prob just gonna sell this car and get another one instead of spending a grand just to get the AC to work (might be more, I think they need to top the Freon up again since I guess it all leaked out due to the compressor being bad.

Anyway that was last week, hopefully this is the only week that the temps are gonna be so high this summer or at least till I can sell this car.

Freaking used car prices are through the roof right now though, which sucks.

I'm kickin it in my house right now and with the AC it's a nice Chill 70 in here. Been watching the temp climb all day outside (currently 95).

Something almost....wrong.....about sitting inside nice and cool while it gets hotter and hotter out.
