Now that so many are vaccinated and states are removing mask mandates. I'm fully Pfizer vaxed and my work allows us to not wear masks anymore if we are vaxed(we don't deal with the public or anything). So for the last three weeks, I've been going mask less at work. I don't even go anywhere else, just work, my place, and my sister's place. That's it. We'll, lo and behold, I have a wicked cold right now. Two people at work are now out with the flu, multiple people getting the cold too. My sister, a nurse, is saying colds and flu are running rampant now.

It kinda makes sense though, so many of us have been inside or at the very least, wearing masks constantly for over a year. We all get vaccinated and get that taste of freedom and nature is like "nah, have a rhinovirus, you're a year overdue".

In the west. In much of Asia, wearing of masks is usually done when someone feels ill, so as not to infect others, and to help with pollution.
