You are 18, you do not know what the ** you want and do right now, so do not feel pressured in to rushing in to the rat race right now. If you do want to become an officer than do the ROTC college program route The college experience is not worth the wasted time and money. Yes, there are people that do make it through college in one sweep in to medical residencies or engineers, but it's not worth the risk and you will still be better off with the GI bill. But I have scholarships? I know a lot of people that lost scholarships in college, and 4 years is a long time to predict, so just think about that.
