American cheese is to other cheeses as sausage is to other meats.
It's malformed chedder bits plus milk and emulsifying agents.

If you're buying pizza with american cheese on it, you need to find a new place.

That is an insult to sausage.

I probably have to go with ye olde filet mignon, medium rare, with buttery-garlicy mashed potatoes. But good sushi is up there also.

I didn't know anyone other than my family ate scrapple until now. It's what we have on the mornings of major holidays. Do you go with corn meal-Jimmy Dean loaf baked with an egg on top? Or something else?

According to the scrapple Wikipedia entry...
The mush is formed into a semi-solid congealed loaf...
.....yesss, that's the stuff. :)

I think he might mean American made cheeses and not American cheese specifically

cause a lot of chains will use stuff like mozzarella but they use a highly processed pre-shredded version that is full of preservatives and starches to keep it from clumping while it is stored

both of which do their job at keeping the cheese edible and easily spinkable as a topping, but also make the cheese less tasty and screw with the consistency so the cheese doesnt melt right

if your cheese isnt stretching when you take a bite of hot pizza, then they werent using good cheese

There is other American cheese besides Kraft. Even "gourmet" ones. It's still just a blend of cheeses. There's no true American cheese. Swiss cheese made in America is still going to be called Swiss cheese.

I don't think I've seen it recently, but I don't shop the frozen aisles that often.

I'm still mad that I bought a jar of Korean honey citron tea at Costco, then when I went back the next day to buy more it was all gone and nobody there knew anything about it.

Eggs, mayo or hot dogs. Those are three things I find myself always having and consuming a lot of.
It's just hard to not add mayo to everything or have a hot dog as a quick snack. Eggs...they're just perfect and used in so much food.

It isnt.

Most places that fry lobster usually just fry the tail. A majority of the places I went had it lightly breaded. Just enough to be crispy.

Steamed lobster is just as good, but this restaurant called Linwoods near my house had Lobster Tempura. I decided to try it and it was great. Theres also another restaurant in my city called Oceanaire. They have chicken fried lobster...it is so good!
