Upon reading an ebook of it on release I had to make sure halfway through it wasn't just an elaborate fanfic because how hilariously bad it was. I was convinced someone had just circulated it falsely.

This. Beyond anything else, Molly is a mom, and a hell of a mom at that. She loves Harry as a son because such a thing missing in his life was the love a mother can give. Her only failing in that regard was that she really didn't have a lot of time to understand him, but then, very few characters in the series did.

Yeah. The story itself is pretty bad, but actually seeing it put on as a play was actually very enjoyable.

I read the summary of it years ago, if I remember right Cedric Digory survived after some time travel bs, but it turns out he would defect over to Voldemort's side and kill Neville during the battle of hogwarts or something, because he was a pureblood and therefore racist or some shit.

Molly was all right, she accepted him into the fold pretty easily since she already had what, 6 sons?

Exactly-- this shits all over canon in a number of ways, and completely ignoring the rules for time travel is one of the biggest. Not to mention how wildly OOC pretty much everyone acts.

He's in Azkaban, but that information comes from the Cursed Child. The books themselves don't reveal what happened to either brother.

I'd legit forgotten that Bellatrix has a husband, when it seemed obvious who she had eyes for. If the movies were like that she'd probably be Voldemort's paramour or something (if he ever displayed any interest in that lol)

Even in the books, it's pretty blatant that she doesn't really care about her husband. From what little we see of him, it's pretty clear he doesn't care about her either. A purely political marriage.

Is there any way for some body that hates plays and refuses to read scripts because it requires too much imagination to conceive theatrical exaggerations of performances (my brain uses crayons to draw pictures of stick figures with wands doing simple movements and non-complicated stunts) to enjoy the story of this in a book format?

7 books and billions of dollars in revenue means its time to sit down and realize youre in the cast majority there and in no objective way are the books not all that well written either.
