But you're talking about dozens of unrelated incidents over a weekend, where almost 80% of the victims lived. While the number is still high, smaller individual shootings don't normally make national headlines due to the frequency of them. It's a sad reality. We have small shootings on a daily basis in Los Angeles too (probably less than Chicago though). That said, there was a topic made about it on CE, back when the Sun Times article was first published. While the number is still high, smaller individual shootings don't normally make national headlines due to the frequency of them. It's a sad reality.
