The party and politicians he affirmatively gave resources to with his dollars are the chief anti-LGBT political force in the USA. Donald Trump himself removed protections for LGBT people in healthcare and education. He segregated transgender people out of the military. His administration argued that LGBT people could be discriminated against in employment, in housing, in education, in healthcare, you name it. His administration said it was okay to turn LGBT away from businesses. He protected doctors who denied LGBT people medical care. The Republican Party's platform itself attacks gay marriage, something that isn't even debated anymore. It attacks defining sex discrimination to include anti-LGBT discrimination, something approved by the Supreme Court and the only thing that gives LGBT people protection in employment, housing, education etc. That's not even getting into what the Republican Party is actively doing throughout the country as we speak.
