Theres a stark difference between not being a fan of something, and having a literal phobia. Tell someone with agoraphobia to suck it up when in a crowded place and see how that goes lmao

Is it me or are needles way smaller and less intrusive than they used to be? I just look away when they stick it in and barely feel a thing.

Theres a reason why the needles are usually retractable nowadays, among other things

Im not touting any crazy conspiracy theories or anything like that, but there definitely were risks involved in getting injections in the past

I'm also not a fan of needles, but the COVID vaccine needle was super tiny and i swear I didn't feel a damn thing on my second shot. Like I legit wondered if he had done it yet after he was done

Yeah, the ones they used for my Pfizer doses were nothing. I barely even felt it at the time. It did make my arm sore later, though.

Yeah. To be clear IV needles still really suck and I hated having them in my arm when I was in the hospital a few years back, and Id like to see that technology become less uncomfortable. But yeah, the tiny needles used in my COVID shots this year and my flu shot last year, I barely felt them.

There's a difference between an IV needle and an IM or SC needle like most vaccines.

IV needs to get down into a vein, it's thicker and longer.

IM and SC barely penetrate and are pretty thin.

Thats the thing, I regularly get bloodwork done and I feel like those needles have improved dramatically too. Although I started doing this a few years ago and before that hadnt had blood drawn in 5-7 years so maybe Im just remembering wrong.

Yeah, same. I have to get them regularly to monitor my heart meds now, at least once a week. You barely feel them anymore.
