so long as they are legal anyone should be able to date anyone of any age without any stigma attached. They are adults that are free to do what pleases them.

Some guys project and act like all women have the same desirability at all ages because, quite frankly, 95% of 40 something yr olds can't date attractive 20 something's unless they pay for it (hell, quite a lot of men in their 20's can't even date attractive women in their own age bracket), but being able to date 20 something super models for the rest of your life is kinda the dream lol

I would consider guys grandpa age dating chicks straight out of high school as predatory, but being able to date early to mid 20's attractive women the rest of your life? Downright impressive lol

No, because that's what, honestly, most adults in the 35-60 age bracket WOULD do if they were able to, from either a familial or just-looks standpoint. As it happens, mature adults tend to not be as attractive to the younger crowd and they're forced to date within their relative age ranks.

We found the guy who has no idea what women are attracted to.

The concept that women care about far more than a handsome youthful face is lost on the guy.

I'm not DiCaprio tier (a 40 something who can date 20 something's) but women absolutely find me more attractive in my 30's than my 20's and I was absolutely better looking in my 20's. The secret sauce is I'm a lot more confident, forward, well traveled/experienced in life, masculine, and yes, the financial security definately doesn't hurt, but these are things that are pretty hard to obtain when you're young and broke and all you being to the table is youth and a pretty face.

I know several men who are married/dating decade+ younger women and they are very visibly attracted to their partner. It's literally only grandpa's dating college age chicks where I grow suspicious.

The amount of "gold diggers" is drastically blown out of proportion. And funnily enough, it's usually broke dudes who are most scared or them lol

Only if the older person (especially if male) is being predatory. Having sex and dropping her leaving her with a kid she's not ready to take care of is NOT right at all. There should be criminal charges towards this behavior if the girl is younger than half your age +7. (Until a girl is 30+ or so)

If it's someone looking for a true loving relationship, I don't care. Here in WV the age is 16 so if a 35 year old guy gets with a 16 year old and is planning on marrying her rather than just lusting for sex...great! Two people live a happy and productive life.

What's the harm? Young females love an older guy to guide, take care of and protect them. (Old fashioned raised girls, at least) As long as the guy is genuine and has a good enough job to make her happy...I'd be thrilled if my 16 year old daughter got with a 30 something. 40+ would be pushing it though. Like Mystic said above, grandpa's or middle-aged dating 16-18 is pretty fucked up.

the reason he does that is because he didn't want children, so he sticks to young women who are usually not at the "I really need to have children before I get too old" phase

It's not wrong, but it might make things difficult to to differences in income, life experiences, maturity, and more.

The age difference alone matters less than the whether the younger person is still so young that they're barely even adult beyond a strictly legal context.

If you're 52 and she's 30 then whatever. If you're 40 and she's 18 then dude, no.

I generally have a maximum "no questions" age where if the younger party is 30, I'm not raising much of an eyebrow (well, I guess I'd raise the eyebrow if the older partner was 70 -- and I've sometimes mistaken a guy's wife for his daughter -- but I wouldn't judge). Under that, I don't necessarily look down on the relationship, but a significant age gap can seem stranger.

I certainly have zero issue with people of any age just fucking other legal adults, even if the younger partner is just 18. Dating can be a little weirder at the just-over-the-legal-age
