I believe it depends on the state, I think 26? of them have already ended them. Others have started requiring everyone to apply for jobs to continue getting them.

It runs out for everyone August....2nd? I think (not an expert).

Meanwhile, while everywhere is hiring it's still a freaking pain in the ass to get a job because they hire online and freaking get inundated with applications so even though your trying to get hired it can take weeks.

I got my vaccine shot like 2 months ago, started looking for work 1 week after my second shot (figured I wouldn't get hired till after the last week), and it took me freaking 2 weeks to get my first interview.

I had two, but took the first job since they wanted to hire me.

I still have not worked one day though (just did 8 hours of training of which they can only pay me for 3 (so $50 total), the other 5 they can't get me in the system yet to file them.

I'm waiting to get called back today and complain/try and get hours. They were supposed to interview clients for me last week on Tuesday. I called on wed to see what happened and was told it was postponed till friday. I called this morning at 8 am and have been waiting for a call back all day. I just called again and was told Renee was still in a meeting with a branch manager and would be done soon, and would call me back then.

It'll be 4 weeks (1 month) since I was officially hired tomorrow.

So yeah, even if you do everything you freaking can to get working (I wasn't even on unemployment), it's not as simple as you would think.

Very freaking frustrating.

I can imagine many people who are getting $500+ a week just say screw it, put in a tiny amount of effort (whatever the min number of applications are) and sit back getting free money.

The hiring process needs to be freaking streamlined big time, it's rediculous. I'm doing a job that isn't in high demand with a HUGE amount of people who need care givers, while hardly anyone wants to work for $2 less an hour than walmart or Mc Donalds pays, while having to drive to the clients on your own dime (and time) and pay the gas for it as well.

I'll get 16.75 an hour to work for clients in Shelton, 40 mins away from me. The clients they are interviewing only need me 2 hours a day, M/W/F...so 6 hours a week total. 40 mins there and back, so 1 1/2 hour each day, but lets just say 4 hours driving a week. That is 10 hours total I spend a week, and I get about $100 total.

But wait there is more. You ahve to pay $40 every 2 weeks towards the union and $150 a month for insurance. So that drops the $400 total a month to $200 total a month.

But I'm also freaking driving about 60 miles a day total (a bit more). That is 240 or so miles a month...which with gas being almost $4 a gallon here (and my car getting less then 20 miles to a gallon) is another 50$ in gas (more but that is an easy number.

So that is a total of $150 a month i'll be making after expenses, for 40 hours spent, or about $4 an hour.

And I've waiting a MONTH just to (hopefully) get that.

So yeah, I need to talk to Renee.

My favorite pizza place went out of business because nobody would work there. Other places talking about it also. They have the customers but not the staffing.
