Board 8 > Update on my work situation

So, my boss who was stepping down decided to extend it for several weeks, but still made it clear he was stepping down

again, my name was thrown around a few times

but this is what I did instead, I brought in a guy who had a store like 4 hours away, but he doesn't want to live in a city anymore

yea, this guy is MY replacement instead. And yea sure enough I was like, 2 weeks.

He got promoted

aaaaaand they pulled this on me. They pretty much begged me to stay, just take a demotion ...and not give me any hours. but they just still wanted me on the payroll. I....don't know why. But I figured eh, I'll still have a discount, so I'll do it

but yea, I got hours so they played me. BUT, I gotta admit, it ...feels pretty good not to be in charge of that shit anymore.

So, I brought that guy in because I didn't want to leave my people hanging, right? This new guy got rid of everyone anyways. Oooooof. Well, he kinda gave them a choice, morale was at an all time low and they were already pissed at the company too, and...I LIKE to think they didn't want to be in a position where they weren't under me lol. so they just left. He got some other people now hes training (and I am too >_>)

and yea, hes doing alot of shit I don't approve of, but ...whatever, its not on me anymore.

I have a feeling my hours are gonna die down once his people are up to speed

Its a new era at my store. I've always said, I legit tried to make my store really cool and friendly. I hear you guys, I hear the stories on the internet, I tried not to do that stuff. but man, everything I built is gone. Thats corporate for ya though

on the other side of things, I HAVE done some commissions on twitter! I haven't launched it yet, but people have DM'd me asking and I'm like, sure why not each time.

at least right now, I'll have some guaranteed money coming since I'm still working. and I DO have a nest egg I'm sitting on too

things are weird and scary, but I hope some good stuff happens my way

It's hard, because if you're a good person you want to be loyal.

But most jobs will fuck you in a moment if they had a reason to. You owe them nothing. You gave them good work. They owe you more, if anything.
