Italy are just terrifying. I know they're "only" beating us 1-0 and aren't playing the top teams, but they're the scariest team in the tournament. So intense all game.

They used their substitutions to field players more than anything. Only their third goalkeeper has not played yet, which is pretty incredible. Team spirit like that is admirable.

Looking at how the tournament is playing out i think whoever finishes runner up in group F has a clear run to the semi-final. Czech/England>Sweden/Spain. Easy last 16 tie and then probably a Sweden or Spain side that haven't really looked that good so far.

Using the experience argument is just bizarre when he's been a regular for a top squad with plenty of experience and good performances in the CL.

All this while players with a lot less experience are being picked as England starters. Must be something else.

Well, Finland lost to Russia and Belgium beat Denmark. Those aren't the last matches.

It probably comes down to tiebreakers, but their best bet is getting a point (or more of course) against Belgium and have Denmark beat Russia. The latter is likely enough, the former less so but maybe since Belgium still gets first place with a draw.

I doubt Belgium will want to take the foot off the gas, but Finland's performances have been pretty spirited so I can see them nicking a draw.

You love to see Ukraine finish with 3 points and a -1 GD. A 1-0 Finland loss or a 1-0 Denmark win has Portugal just needing to not lose by 3+ to qualify.

Even if Denmark finish third all they need to do is win by at least a 2 goal margain and they'll go above Ukraine. Of course then they'll be sweating on the final 3 groups hoping one of them finishes on 3 or less points. It stands a good chance looking at the standings though.
