I like to run at night. The temperature is much better than running during day in summer, and you don't have to worry about the sun burning your skin. Every once and a while I get someone like the other night, who felt it necessary to follow me in their truck and ask me why I was running at night. For reference, I was running a trail around a local lake. I don't see why people don't get the idea that people want to avoid excess heat and sunburns while exercising.

Do you run with a flashlight or a headlamp? If so, the guy in the truck should mind his damn business. If not, people might not see you until the last second and hit you with their bicycle, or you might trip on a tree branch and get hurt.

I was running a trail. There's little to no interaction with traffic.

I usually go at 6 or so. But I can say that when I have gone at 5 and the sunrise is just starting, it is awesome.

I've been doing it since I was 14. I'm still fine. The worst thing that happened is I got bit by a dog.

I've been meaning to try karaoke. I love to sing and imagine it would be great way to get a girl attention. I always seem to chicken out.

It's awesome. I used to be petrified and when I first did it like 4 years ago I had to be super drunk, but now I can be sober.

And I just started a topic about it because I got excited.

That sounds less like people not getting the concept and moreso, people trying to take policing into their own hands. You think someone is doing something suspicious? Might as well confront them yourself! Screw that.

I personally don't like the idea of running at night, because I live in Los Angeles. But as long as you're able to do it safely, I don't see a problem.

If they think I'm suspicious for running at night, then they should be just as suspicious for fishing or whatever they were doing.

Most trails and parks are closed after dusk so you were probably trespassing.

Same way you close a park Put a sign at the entrances saying dont come here after dusk or before dawn.

I never ran at night but I used to ride a bike at night for a time. It wasn't for exercise though. I used to work at a night time grocery stocking job and would get off at like 2 in the morning and ride my bike home. I always wondered what people out driving that saw me thought

I actually used to run at night sometimes. Loved the quiet and cool temperatures. Nowadays the area where I live there is a park nearby that's nice for running, but it gets pitch black there at night, so now I just go to a nearby fitness hall that's open 24/7.

What did you do if it was raining?

If there was a safe place to do it, then sure. I've gone to 24/7 gyms in the past, but no fucking way I'd run outside at night.

Actually that's a good question. I was in western Washington state after all.....

I think I just rode through it. I would have a coat on and take it a little slow. But I don't remember exactly. This was like 20 years
