Say you have a PC and an android phone. You write up a shopping list on your PC, you want it on your phone. Or you want to send a pic to your phone, or a link, or whatever.

I feel like a boomer dad any time I pull up a social media app and message myself. Third party apps like pushbullet are hardly easier.

I get annoyed by there not seeming to be a simple solution for this. What I want is a PC-wide and Android-wide extension that just gives me a button or link i can press any time to send it over.

I usually plug my phone into my laptop and move files around. Or you can use whatever cloud storage.

KDE Connect on linux is excellent for this, simply sending files back and forth to Android or sharing the clipboard contents. I believe there is a Windows build available but I don't know how similar that is.

To go direct you can use Pushbullet or Portal which is also made by Pushbullet.

My shopping list is on Google Keep, and shared with my wife.
For pictures and files, I just prefer the USB cable.
