For what it's worth Sotha has consistently mischaracterized me and attacked and insulted me. They insist I'm bad faith and stupid and evil. They have not been able to demonstrate any of this, or debunk anything I've put forward as a claim.

They might have been one of the people who insisted I was an antivaxer, before I showed my vaccination card. I also think they are one of the people who insists I'm a trump supporter, despite voting for biden and never voting for trump.

They say I spread misinformation, even though I post links to peer reviewed medical journals.

They just "know" I'm bad, so take their judgement with a grain of salt.

Or just keep an eye on them in other topics and see how they act and you won't have to doubt them on my account. I trust anybody who watches Sotha's conduct will be able to make a good assessment of how much you should trust their categorization of things.

IIRC many people were saying gender is a social construct. Is that wrong?

I sincerely don't know what people have agreed on in this regard.

I generally try not to get involved because I want to respect everybody's dignity and stuff, but I'd be lying if I said it makes tons of sense to me as the rules seem very inconsistent. For example, I don't understand how people can be "genderfluid" such that they can change from one gender to the next moment to moment, AND for it to be true that gender is an immutable biological characteristic of the brain.

Those things for example don't seem to reconcile to me. if I'm being honest.

That doesn't mean I can't be decent to everybody, but I do get confused when some people come in and dogmatically say "X is ok to identify as, and Y is not". Because I don't follow their logic in that regard.

I don't know that I'd say it's "as valid". What I would say is that I'm not confident I have a rubrik by which I could unequivocally insist it's "not a real thing" for which certain accepted forms of how one identifies might not also fail that test.

I don't see the logic by which I could get to the idea that "gender fluid is definitely real" and "otherkin is definitely not". Particularly when I consider both gender expression and whatever the hell otherkin is to be to have a large component that is part of social identity expression.

Without objective tests I don't know how you could say confidently one thing is "real" and one thing is not.
