Sprite isn't sour at all, or at least that there isn't a sour flavor variation. It seems there was something called Sprite Blast that was marked as such but it wasn't really sour even then and the packaging played up that it was both sweeter and sourer which kinda defeats the purpose.

No it doesn't? One doesn't automatically cancel out the other. Sweet and Sour sauce is a thing for a reason.

It defeats the point of a sour drink if it's sharing the spotlight with extra sweetness, yes. Just like pouring hot sauce on a lemon wouldn't necessarily make it any less sour, the fact that your tongue would be contending with the spiciness as well when you only want the sourness would effectively dilute it.

Do you actually have a rebuttal or not? If I want a sour drink, I don't want a bunch of other flavors getting in the way, it's that simple. The Ph might be the same but the taste won't be.

Another way for you to look at it would be, if a person liked black coffee because it was bitter or hot chocolate because it was sweet, pouring salt in their cups wouldn't actually make the drinks less bitter or sweet the way putting sugar in the coffee or cacao powder in the hot chocolate would, but do you think they would appreciate it?

there are a bunch of sour drinks out there, sprite just isnt one of them

Homemade Sprite made with real lemons and limes honestly tastes exactly like the store bought version. Like, I don't mean in a how Stouffer's frozen lasagna tastes kind of like homemade lasagna, I mean it tastes exactly like the store bought brand, minus the extra pulp you usually end up with. Compared to homemade Mountain Dew/Mellow Yellow, which tastes nothing like the store brand, and it is kind of surprising.
