Honestly, about 10 years. Everything we've seen since is either gimmick alts from old users or old trolls who get their original accounts banned and have to make new ones.

No one comes to this site anymore, except the damned souls who've been trapped here for years and just don't know how to leave.

I shift from PotD to CE to RI, lurking and posting when I see fit

Depends on your definition of "new here." Because while it's harder to get somebody new to Gamefaqs (although it still happens), you have people who have been on Gamefaqs who move between boards. For example, I'm not sure that I posted on the indie wrestling boards before this year. And technically speaking, I've only been what might be considered a regular on PotD for about 7 years now (prior to that, my appearances were always sporadic), and I think there are legitimate people who became regulars here within the last 3-4 years.

However, I know for a fact that Gamefaqs has had a few legitimately new people, but the ones I can vet haven't come to this board.

And, honestly, for anybody to actually stick around PotD, they have to already be used to a certain level of toxicity, otherwise guys like the malicious misinformer would drive them off in short order

The key is since I'm a normal person I kinda just lurked and started posting about things. I didn't immediate insert myself into board drama I didn't care much for when I was lurking, nor did I make an annoucement. I just started posting naturally. That's what makes people suspicious. All too often you see lurkers and new posters immediately get involved in drama or grandly make it known they are here and they are new.

Somebody could just come here, start posting about video games, say, and then integrate themselves. being normal is key. Why would a person who just got here care about wuwuking420 and need to get involved?

I did it, and I lurked for a long time beforehand, because you could view this board on a read only account. I had no other reason to care or find this place despite being one of the main social boards in GameFaqs history. I was always a CE man back in the day, though I remember little about it.
