i dunno why people say this. it was nothing like they promised despite taking 7 years to make. they promised and showed a living world with tons of things to do and see and role play as

instead its just a standard shooter with rpg mechanics and penis options.

fucking gta5 has more things to do

That's a shame.

It was always a "good" game, just y'know, hard to play on older consoles.

If it functioned at full 100%, it would be a "great" game. I fucking loved the ending I got. Working on a second playthrough now. They had a big patch about a month or so ago that made a lot of the game-breaking stuff go away, but not much has changes from an optimization perspective in terms of the older consoles.

My buddy just got a PS5 and said it's completely flawless so far, although he's only played an hour.

Its an okay FPS, but don't expect the AI or open world to be on par with GTA3.

It's okay to be disappointed by what the game doesn't have, and it's also okay to enjoy what the game does have

Saying they were working on it for 7 years is like saying FFXV was worked on for 10 years.

Both of those games didn't actually start development until muuuuch later

Poor TC asks a serious question and gets a bunch of trolls and fan boys pretending it's a perfectly fine game.

Guess it still sucks.

It was great at launch for me. But I realize I'm one of the outliers, because of my PC specs.

There are some things that were disappointingly small, compared to what was promised. Life paths, for example, were touted as these drastically different origin stories that were hours upon hours of content, but they're basically just 1 unique mission (15-20 minutes) and then the paths merge.

But the things we did get are still entertaining. The gunplay feels good, hacking is the equivalent of op magic spells in a fantasy RPG, and melee, while a bit janky, is fun to build around. I also really enjoyed the story.

That said though, I believe the old consoles still have trouble playing the game (it hasn't been relisted on the PlayStation store yet)

Same, never once had a crash after 70 hours, only a few glitches (and mostly the funny, harmless ones like the T-posing that I saw once or twice).

AC Valhalla has given me way more trouble, and that released a month earlier. Crashes on me like once a play session, their seasonal events have been buggy messes. I mean, it's still a fun game, but it's weird since it's in a way worse state, stability wise.
