Yes, I went to Disneyland Paris, as a kid. It was pretty fun, worth the time we spent going there, but I was way too young to know about monetary costs of the trip. We just drove there, so there was no flights or ship fees.

How so?

We were there climbing mountains. Just had tons of stick-up-the-butt attitudes. Got told my french is terrible in a non joking way. A mountain guide refused to even say hello to us at the summit of Mt Blanc because we had gotten there before him. People in general never went out of their way to say hello or smile or help in any way.

Then I crossed the border to Italy and they couldn't have been nicer, funnier, or chiller.

Just my experience though. Maybe I committed some cultural wrongs I wasn't aware of

It's great over there, man, I mean they got the same s*** over there as here, but it's just a little different. Like, you know what they call a quarter pounder with cheese in Paris? They call it a Royal Cheese

Yeah, Paris, Nice and Monaco.

While it was pretty nice, France becomes more enyojable if you visit a few more cities and not just Paris.

Yes, but post-COVID hard to say.

I visited Paris in 2019 and it was the most beautiful city I've ever been to. All of the women there are hot, there are tons of museums, an awesome aquarium, lots of things to see.

Food was not as good as Rome though.

Driven through there a lot

I keep meaning to go to Paris since it's relatively near me and I've only been once for a night's stay, but life (and now CoVID) keeps getting in the way

Plus I don't speak much French <_<

I bet it's easier to go through the museums though.

I worked for 6 months in a winemaking role in Bordeaux. I enjoyed it, especially venturing off the beaten track.

The more touristy places were horrible.

Been to Paris with ny ex who was Parisian, so I got to see a lot of cook things that normal tourists wouldn't find.

Then I spent some time in Ile De Re.

Only downside was people gave me shit for my french when I was ordering food and stuff. Non of her friends gave me shit though. They appreciated me taking the time to learn a second language.

My gf went several times and basically had the same impression. If I ever went i'd probably mostly want to visit the north and west coast, specifically the Bretagne region and largely avoid large cities

I won't be happy until I walk down some back alley where no one goes. Then I'll have the REAL experience.
