This is a report of the inciting incident, from May 8th
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/more-200-palestinians-injured-following-014532460.html

More than 200 Palestinians were wounded as tensions with Israeli police continue to rise over the threat of evictions of Palestinian families from homes in East Jerusalems Sheikh Jarrah, a location acquired by Jewish settlers, CBS News reports.

Nightly protests have become commonplace since the start of the holy month of Ramadan when police issued restrictions on a plaza outside of Damascus Gate where Palestinians have been known to congregate after fasting. Even after the barricades were removed, this latest conflict has led to another escalation between the long-feuding sides.

Following prayers at the Al-Aqsa mosque compound, thousands of Palestinians gathered to protest the threatened evictions, which was met with resistance from Israeli police wearing riot gear, and firing rubber bullets and stun grenades into the crowd of protesters that were hurling rocks, stones, and fireworks.

The Palestinian Red Crescent emergency service said 88 people have been hospitalized, while 83 were reportedly injured by rubber-coated bullets, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

In the week since, Hamas has launched rockets into Israel, which have been responded to with airstrikes that have killed dozens of civilians and leveled residential buildings.

No. They're responding to the ~3000 rockets fired into Israel by Hamas. It's more a disproportionate response to scare Hamas into leaving them alone.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-57127628.amp
The Twitter account of Israel's embassy in the UK posted a tweet that read: "Hamas couldn't care less about the lives of Palestinians, in its desperate attempt to terrorize and kill Israelis."

In a BBC interview, the former Israeli ambassador to the UK, Mark Regev, defended Israel's actions in Gaza.

"I don't want to see any innocent bystanders hurt, let alone children. I don't want to see Israeli children or Palestinian children caught up in the crossfire," he said.

"But Hamas says Israel has no right to exist. So, we're only talking about deterrence, about strength, about them understanding that it's not in their interest to shoot rockets into Israel," he added.

"And we want to come out of this conflict with them understanding that clearly, and then have a sustained period of quiet. Ultimately, that's good for Israelis, and that's good for the residents of Gaza, too."

https://news.yahoo.com/israel-gaza-conflict-no-magic-145138733.html
MARK REGEV: We would urge people to think very carefully because there's no magic fix here. And if-- if-- you try to force a premature ceasefire, you're just going to go back to square one, and we'll be here again in a month from now, and you're asking me why is Hamas shooting rockets again into Israel, and we are responding. That sort of answer is not a solution. It's just going to extend the problem. We didn't want this conflict, but now that it's started, it has to end with a sustained period of quiet. And that can only be achieved by Israel taking out Hamas, their military structure, their command and control, their communications, their arsenals. Hamas has to come out of this understanding that it's simply not in their interest to shoot rockets into Israel.

Which caused Palestinians to hole up in the al aqsa mosque with molotovs, which caused Israel to send in the police, which caused hamas to fire rockets which caused Israel to do air strikes which caused hamas to fire more rockets.

Israel only gets most of the heat because they're the ones in control.

Don't know how people would feel about it if Hamas was the dominating power running the Israelis off.

These people don't like each other and never will no matter who is in control.

Basically Israel s population is growing and there is no place left to build new housing so they are forcibly removing palestinians from their homes to create housing for Israeli people, can you imagine if this happened anywhere else in the world?

Except Israel helped fund the creation of Hamas in the 70s-80s to counteract leftist Palestinian groups. They wanted Hamas to gain power so they could declare war.

The US has been terrorizing and killing people in the Middle East for a long time, its hardly surprising they wont condemn their satellite that they fund for doing the same.

They don't have or follow rules like other places in the world.

Here in the states unless it's rental they try to buy you into moving or make it to where you'd want to move or leave.

Some voluntarily leave if their area gets too bad for living.
