Or was it just a case of they changed too much from the original so I dont like it

I want to pick it up and dont mind the story being changed up but if the game is legitimately awful Ill skip it

It's just a lot changed, it's weaker than re2make, and it's super short. For $20 or less though, it's well worth it.

I've only played the demo, but from what I've heard, it's not a bad game, it's just that: there's a bunch missing from the original, Nemesis doesn't feel as much of a threat, and it's a step down from RE2R in quality.

Severely short. Like, shorter than the original.

Also the main attraction ie. Nemesis was a step down from Mr. X as it was more setpiece-based than a neverending boss chase throughout the whole game.

That said I enjoyed it.

It was pretty short and felt super streamlined from the original RE3. I beat it in one sitting my first playthrough.

It falls short of REmake 2 but I'd say it's definitely still worth playing, the gameplay is fairly good. I can't imagine it's more than 25 bucks or so now.

No, it's fine.

RE3 in general was just not as good as RE2.

If you pay $50-60, it's a bad game. They even threw in the multiplayer game so people wouldn't complain.

If you can get it for $20, then the game is good.

Still if you only play through games once, it's only about 6 or 7 hours if I remember correctly.

I've played many resident evil games, but the original RE3 is one of the few I haven't.

RE3make was not very good frankly. Most of the Nemesis sections were lame. Unlike Mr. X or Jack Baker or Demitrescu, he doesn't actually get any organic chase sequences (which is what the original game was trying to make it seem like). Instead, all his appearances are extremely scripted. Nemesis is also presented as being crazy powerful and able to clear a city block in a jump, which makes it all the more ridiculous and eye-rolling when he catches up with you only to just start slowly walking towards you with a flamethrower or something. He once literally grabs Jill by the head and just throws her away form him instead of crushing her skull. This silly stuff conflicts with the pretty serious tone that most of the game goes for.

The boss fights take too long.

Nemesis gets upstaged in the remake of a game bearing his name by a dude whose whole motivation is "I liek money"

The pacing is weird. You go from a Jill section to a Carlos section, then back to Jill only for a boss fight then another entire Carlos section, then Jill for the rest of the game.

And honestly, as a whole, the game just felt like a chore to play. I don't have many good memories of it. The level design is a step down from other recent RE games.

it feels short because the game only has one campaign with a ton of scripted moments that just push you forward with few areas that allow for the same type of exploration as in RE2.

on average i'd say the length of the game is maybe slightly longer than a first run A scenario in RE2 with little replay value

I will say it took me a while to beat because I played on the hardest difficulty on my first playthrough and was getting my ass kicked.

It's short but still a great game. I've no regrets about paying full price for it.

Its flaw is they cut out sections, Nemesis is not a game spanning persistent stalker, the choices are no longer here, and the game is more linear.
