Just letting you all know. The FBI is currently working with various states to make a law where its illegal to have a counterfeit vaccine card. They said for even having one in your posession you could get up to 18 months in prison. And if you actually try to present it somewhere and its found to be fake then you can get up to 5 years. Is it really worth going to prison over being paranoid with a tin foil hat on and not actually getting the vaccine but pretending to have it? Not only do you put yourself at risk but everyone around you too. So i can understand the push to make these law changes. I got my real vaccine a few weeks ago and nothing bad happened at all. Stop listening to fake news if you are already a paranoid person as it will put false ideas into your mind. Anyway i wanted to give you all a heads up if you are thinking about going this route

In a statement the FBI categorized the unauthorized use of an official government agency's seal (such as HHS or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)) as a crime. Citing this as an act that could be "punishable under Title 18 United States Code, Section 1017, and other applicable laws," and added "do not buy fake vaccine cards, do not make your own vaccine cards, and do not fill-in blank vaccination record cards with false information."

That's a statement from the FBI. And below are examples of people who been arrested already.

Zachary Honig, 21, was arrested Tuesday on charges including petit larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument after taking eight pre-filled vaccination cards and 54 blank ones, and CVS said in a statement they had terminated his employment and were cooperating with investigators.

Authorities noted that it does not appear Honig sold any of the cardsthough an investigation is ongoingbut told police he intended to sell the cards to students and share them with family members and friends, so that they could go into venues and possibly even use them at schools.

A bar owner in California was arrested last week for selling fake vaccination cards, after undercover agents were able to purchase fraudulent cards on four occasions for $20 each.
The bar owner, Todd Anderson, was charged with identity theft, forging government documents and falsifying medical records, the San Joaquin District Attorneys office reported.

State Capitol Police in Connecticut seized a box of fake vaccination cards at an anti-vaccination rally in April, which police said the Department of Health and Human Services was investigating.

The FBI has warned that making and buying fraudulent Covid-19 vaccination cards is a violation of federal law, and using a government agency seal without authorization by making a card purporting to be from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is a crime.

you have to fill out a form with your ssn and signature when you get vaccinated so if someone fakes a card it's very easy to prove

I think it's sad though because there are so many people who think this is a joke and mocking it. Especially people on 4chan. The users on there are the biggest covid deniers I ever seen anywhere. And also the people who dont want the vaccines and keep posting stories where it makes the vaccine look bad but they can't understand anything bad happening is like 1% of all vaccines given out. So they think this is funny and will try to go places without a mask and also want to get the counterfeit vaccine cards. But I don't expect much better from most 4chan users

I don't think the counterfeit vaccine card situation is that pervasive of an issue. Nobody here has one, I'd be willing to bet.

had to give a heads-up about the appointment. hate to lie about what'll happen on the second shot (side effects may be worse) but it has to be done so he doesn't get sick from actual covid.

Something i heard on news earlier made me think. He said when the ship cruises start again there might be problems. Because if there is no vaccine passport and you just need to believe a person on their word, all it takes is one or two non vaccinated on a ship to start off an infection to spread. And you know how bad the ship cruise was in the beginning of the pandemic.
