It came out pretty damn well! Really crispy and delicious with a garlic butter I made. Making the dough took about 2 minutes thanks to a food processor. Frying the naan in the pan took 2-3 minutes per piece. If I'm ever out of bread for breakfast, this will be what I make. It'll probably be delicious with bacon and eggs as well. It's been my second time making palak paneer (I posted my first time here 2 weeks ago), which is my go-to when I'm in an Indian restaurant.

What do you think?

Amazing.

Instead of paneer, I usually use tofu instead. Reason being that it's dairy-free and full of antioxidants.

looks really good! garlic naan is really tasty. i've only ever had storebought though. i should try making it myself one of these days.

You should, it's so damn easy to make. If you're making it by hand it'll take you 10 minutes for the dough to be ready. No need for proofing.

I've never tried that before but it sounds interesting. Tofu is easier to get than paneer so if I can't go to the Indian store for whatever reason I'll try that too! I love tofu.

I went to an Indian restaurant with some coworkers before the pandemic hit. Think it was Mayuri. I fell in love with the Naan and this one particular curry.

Nice one.

I can tell this wasn't what you were after, but my favourite thing to do with naan and other bread like that is to immediately cover it after it's come out of the pan. All the bread steams together and gets nice and chewy, it's so delicious.

The paneer cheese itself doesn't have too much flavor, but when fried together with the curry base, it gets infused with the delicious curry flavor. Most recipes I saw add the paneer after the spinach puree, which I find gives the cheese way less flavor. I must have fried it in the curry base for 5-6 minutes before I added the spinach.

yeah I did this too. I think I ddidn't put enough oil or maybe had the temperature wrong or something since all the cheese cubes kinda broke in half with one half stuck to the pan when I tried to flip them ):

Thanks! Regular white flour! The yogurt is the ingredient that makes the difference for the naan's texture. If I see it I might try some naan flour to see what the difference is like.

Oh damn that sucks! Use more oil, or ghee if you can find it. Otherwise, never be shy to use small amounts of water to deglaze the pot/pan, it helps to prevent sticking and burning.
