Ok, I'm having a problem.

My room is clean, my laundry is clean and folded, my bedsheets, blankets, pillowcases, are all kept clean.

I shower twice a day, once before work, and once after. On days off, I shower once.

Before work, I use a standard pleasant smelling body wash. After work, I use a body wash to help with acne on my back and shoulders.

I take my personal hygiene very seriously.

(Here's where it gets gross.)

Why does my groin still smell? It's not overwhelming or anything, and it's not awful, but it's not nice. And I try my best to clean it to get rid of the smell, but it won't go. Any advice?

Human bodies have smells. It happens. You can't wash your own scent off, it's just gonna keep coming back. It's yours.

No, I don't think it's anything like that, there's no irritation.

Oh. Should I use both body washes at once then? Or just alternate?

Its your diet. Eat healthy options like fruits and vegetables and cut down on the fast food and your scent will change with your dietary habits.

Pretty sure bacteria and other stuff builds up there naturally during the course of the day, probably exacerbated by sweat etc. Same for other areas of the body. So despite the shower it will still probably have a scent after a few hours.

So is the smell there immediately after you shower and dry off? Or only after a few hours of moving around?

If you wash your dick and balls with soap and work in a place with a/c it shouldnt still smell unless you just have ridiculous body odor.

Interesting, I'll try this, thanks. I've been meaning to improve my diet for a while anyways, so this'll just be a nice bonus.

Is there anything that can be done to help it?

I got outta the shower about an hour and a half ago, and it's there, but only ever so slightly.

Do you manscape? Odor under the arms and groin area is from bacteria growing in sweat. Manscaping gives the bacteria less turf to grow in.

That said, the genital area has its own smell. There's that and then there's odor. Odor is one thing. genitals smelling like genitals is another.

This might be an odd solution but......sweat often causes odors. What eliminates sweat odor? Deodorant. Maybe try some (one with like a moisturizer in it) down there and maybe that will help.

Weird. In addition to changing your diet, I'd say try changing your underwear. Especially if it's all the same type. I got some new boxer briefs and my body odor was noticeably stronger with those than with my other pairs (and yes, I wash all my new clothes before wearing them).

I don't think I know what you mean by manscape. But I keep the lawn trimmed if that's what you're asking.

As for smell vs. odor, I don't think I'd know the difference. I don't think either are good though. Do all genitals smell the same?

Genitals have a natural odor. You can take a shower and its still not gonna keep things odorless.

Actually, interestingly enough, I have tried that before, and the results are, strange. After a while it doesn't smell like the odor or the deodorant. I just kinda smells. A neutral smell. Not bad or good.

I have had these for quite a while. Should I get something a little tighter or looser? I wear boxers. And occasionally compression shorts when I work out.

I get that now, but can it be mitigated at all?

Others itt are correct that your diet plays a major role. It also depends on how bad the smell is. But generally, apocrine glands in your groin and armpits will secrete sweat which is higher in fat which bacteria break down into odorous fatty acids. stress worsens this. so, there's nothing wrong with your groins if that have a mild fragrance.

This isn't scientific or anything, but I've found that getting a sweat going and then a cool down and wash makes me feel better and gets rid of that smell better than just a wash.

Example some guys scorch the earth, some guys trim monthly, some guys nothing. Manscaping is grooming - pits, balls maybe chest and/or back.

I shave my pits first weekend of the month and take the #1 attachment clippers to the pubes first weekend of the month. Keeps things neat IMO but you do you.

Dick and ball smell and odor are two different things. If you regularly wash your shit, it won't have an odor but it will have a smell. That doesn't mean it's dirty, just means you're post puberty.

I don't know the answer but in my experience with women, not all genitals smell the same. I imagine guys are the same. Again, there's smell and odor. I have never been with a woman with genital odor, but IIRC (never really thought about this) all their genitals smelled different.

As long as you're washing your Johnson daily, you're good.

Not my business TC, but don't worry about your dick and balls smelling like dick and balls. Worry about them stinking. As long as they don't stink, you're good.
