Honestly some of the canned stuff is way better than prego or ragu. I never eat any store sauce plain, I just use it as a base for actual good spaghetti sauce, but cans are great for that.

Most people will find half a dozen brands of jarred sauce that's better than either of those at their grocery store, some based on recipes from local Italian restaurants, that at are most a buck or 2 more expensive. No reason to go with the crap, unless you are so poor that a couple dollars will break you.
