I still don't understand why TT is a CP weapon now.

Its irritating to have 2 snipers in the care package, granted they now consider it a "marksman" weapon. But I assume it is because TT slaps and with the slight buff they gave it to put it in the care package I assume it is going to hit even harder.

I still find myself tricking people with Mirages mirages pretty often. His ult is nice too. plus his passive revive ability is dope

I was under the impression "pros" didnt really like Octane. I find him the most fun

Rampart and Wattson are my least favs

Octane has been my main since he came out, Bloodhound was always my secondary character, but they both might move down one spot for Valkyrie.

I mean they did a complete rework on him now. I think hes significantly better than he was on launch, especially now that his decoys have footsteps. You have to be really smart with him to dupe though.

I think his stealth revive is his best trait though. Like it doesnt require any level of skill to do.

Decoys have footsteps, cloaked during revive and respawning, his ult causes him to cloak and then 8(?) Decoys come out and mimic his every move, you can take control of his tactical decoy and make it mimic your every move, im sure there is other things I'm not recalling off the top of my head but it was pretty extensive.

He just sounds so damn fun.

I saw a tip on Reddit where doing 180 while you use your ult, will make you appear more like the decoys. Gonna try that.

Yep. She's no muss, no fuss, and useful in all situations. Smoke is good for running away and helping teammates, the extra speed boost when being shot at can save your bacon, and her ultimate is good for putting pressure on. Nothing crazy op and nothing that's pathetic.

I just crafted her Heirloom knife so I'm all about it.

I also play Crypto, he was the one that got me back into it when he came around. I got the turret girl as well but she seems pretty damn useless.

Same, since her abilities were leaked back in 2019. Only thing that didn't make it was her afterburners passive where she can skydive faster after the initial drop. That would've been something really cool for her to have but of course she has enough passives as is. The enemy scan with the HUD is so cool.

i see people use her ult just to scan.

you can also land on top or the rez drop ship, and kill people before they land

Well I mean, they did ruin her smoke last season. They fixed that though. I have her heirloom too and it was a gut punch having that happen the same patch it came out.

Sheila sucks yeah. But Rampart is really good in Arenas Ive found. Not as good in BR but she is a whole lot better than she was when she released.

R1, theres a 25% chance of a weapon filling the center slot, and a 75% chance of a jackpot item (purple body shield, or gold armor item) being there instead. R2 and R3 the odds are reversed; 75% chance of a weapon, 25% of a jackpot item.

My buddies started playing this last year at the start of quarantine so I tried it and hated it because of how bad I was. I was never great at FPS but always at least has a positive k/d but I went sessions before getting a kill. Quit for a while then picked it back up and got into it a lot more and actually got a bit better.

I still suck but at least got closer to a + k/d and had more wins than any of my friends the season with the girl with the turret gun. Then stopped playing for a while and sucked worse when I tried to pick it back up recently.

Its fun but tough.

Heres whats getting changed today. Bow may still be too strong imo but hitting the damage, ammo count and charge time is definitely the right move. Lack of arrow drop-off and perfect hip fire are still big issues imo.

I guess this topic wants to be more active than the actual board.

I haven't started the new season and kinda don't have a desire to do so, even with Valkyrie and Arenas hype. I think I got my fill of S8 with completing the anniversary challenges and all that. Besides, playing on Switch is a handicap in itself, not to mention the fact that it takes up 90% of the system's free space.

Arenas have been pretty fun. I mostly play pathfinder. Iove how it feels like I almost always have his grappling hook ready to go this season.

I wish the bow could use sniper scopes at the exchange of drop off

In terms of characters to play, imo you can basically play anybody you want til like plat where the team comp actually starts to matter. But some characters are just inherently better than others (I'd say Gibralter is basically the best character, but a bad Gib is a liability)

Also people might be sleeping on Fuse, but the best thing about his kit, the sticky bomb, is a 2 charge skill now. He can down people without having to shoot them if he lands two in great spots or stick them on people.

Previous Fuse stick bomb was like you're afraid to send it out because you gotta wait 15-16 sec to use it again, and by that point the fight is probably over, or the situation where a 2nd bomb would be good already passed.

Might seem minor but in practice, it's incredibly powerful. His ult is still... not very useful in a lot of situation tho

Okay I'm hot garbage at the game but my friends and I have the most fun way to play:
Pacifist mode.

Take at least one scout character (I like pathfinder best for this due to his ult) and the other two can be anyone, but Wraith has great synergy.

Land by one of the scanning points, scan it, collect armor and support items. Never pick up a gun. Ever.
The entire game run from scanning beacon to beacon and try to hide. When you make it to the last handful of teams it's incredibly stressful and so much fun trying to hide under bridges, on top of weird hills, and behind random buildings.

At the very end if you make it to the top two teams you've already had a mental victory, be proud.

(At that point my friends and I usually try to rush and punch people to death lol)

Edit: please don't do this with randoms, get a full team of friends.

A good Pathfinder is really scary. Been seeing quite a few of those in Arenas.

Definitely! A good pathfinder is super hard to hit, and they can play pretty aggressively

im averaging like 2k per match from arena, as long as its competitive you get decent xp

Theres xp bonuses for top 5 placement in the battle pass, and you get bonus xp for playing with friends. Not sure how its calculated for arenas
