Think of it this way, you can resign yourself and pass away, or you can be optimistic and you may still pass away but the end result is the same so what do you lose on? However I do think the optimistic mindset approach motivates the body to work harder to persevere. I don't wanna hear anymore "I'm tired and I think if I go to sleep I won't wake up" nonsense. Instead think of it as "my body has been through a lot and I need to recharge, so I'll take a nap and WHEN I wake up I can continue to keep up with my friends and family while they help me on the road to recovery" Get well soon Mabus.
