I work 10 hour days, 4 days a week, so 3 days off :)

I would actually be ok with this. If nothing else it would cut down on commute time which eats up a lot more of my life than Im comfortable with (but of course cant do anything about )

Would be one thing if I lived like five to ten minutes away from work lol

My commute used to be 25 minsvon train of 1.15 walking but that was my own time as I listened to books. Used to have around 5/6 hrs easy a night plus weekends....

Now I have a baby and have to walk from home. I stop work at 5.30, baby work until his bed then exhausted I have about 1/1.5 hrs to have a cup of tea, dinner and 15 mins of my time. Weekend has completely gone. If you want any time, never have a baby - life is now an endless exhausting slog. If I didnt know it would change, this would be honest to god actual Hell

Ya my drive is about 50 mins to work during the day and 35 mins on the way home at night. I wouldn't work at my place if it was 5 days, rather find a job closer to home then.

My longest commute was an hour and a half to two hours. So, up to four extra hours every weekday being spent sitting in traffic.

Thank goodness I got out of that shit

Eight hours of sleep is a ridiculously large amount of sleep. And it's not supposed to be "eight hours of your own time." There's no proscribed amount of own time, it's just whatever is left when you're done doing other stuff.

I agree a person should be allowed to work as much as they want to. It's also an employer's right to replace those people with someone they're going to get more out of.

That commute is worse than anything out in Calgary. I dont envy you there man.

my longest commute was about 30minutes, and that was only in the afternoon due to traffic. in the morning the same trip was about 15min

Its really not. Sleep is really weird. And articles on it are all over the place, apparently. I remember seeing a video on it. Theres are so many studies that say contradictory things about how much sleep is actually enough...
