He got into a heated exchange with his communications professor at Cypress College when he gave a zoom presentation as he said Police are HEROES while the female teacher insisted police were bad. He said he was standing up to university staff who had a "hatred towards our country" because they were not supportive of America's Police who fight the bad guys and the Military who kill terrorists abroad that hate americans. Ellis said "Liberal ideology is bad right now and people need to expose it and fight back with gentleness and respect. We have to destroy this ideology before young people become exposed to the likes of socialism because nothing is free in life.. It will be worse in 10 years if this isn't stopped now. It will be pure hatred against conservatives. These teachers just spew divisiveness and hatred towards our country. This country was built on hard work and our police and military protect and save us everyday that these liberals do not respect" The unnamed teacher suggested that police were created in the south to track down runaway slaves that it was a form of systemic racism But Ellis says "I think cops are heroes" and she says "all of them?" and then he says "I'd say a good majority of them. You ahve bad people in every business. The teacher says "Yet, a lot of police officers have committed an atrocious crime and have gotten away with and have never been convicted of any of it" Ellis says "This is what i believe. i do support our police. We have bad people and the people that do bad things should be brought ot justice..i agree with that. But officers who were cleared of any wrongdoing are not guilty and that's how our justice system works. I think they are heroes in a sense because they come to you in need and help you. I know it's not popular for me to say that to you guys but that's what i believe about the police. Who you gonna call when you need it? Don't hate on the people who save you when you need them to". Ellis then went on Fox News to say he mentioned Paw Patrol facing criticism because it showed police in a positive light and how Cops was removed off the air after the death of George Floyd. He said he was defending his right to free speech and says liberal ideology wants to destroy that and says he will continue to fight the liberal agenda and support America's Police and Military. Ellis however WON'T say how he feels about the George Floyd case.
