thanks! it's looking to be a lot better than my old one, although pretty boring. I don't have to deal nearly as much with clients and the sales people seem to be more engaged and less likely to talk shit about me. that's what they did at my last job even when I took care of their clients.

I will need to eventually step up here but the mental break has been nice since they're letting me start slow. I miss my old teammates, though.

aw, I appreciate it. There have been many times in my life where I thought I didn't have a lifeline. That said, I know all these people will get back to me in time and they're probably just busy right now. My dad was visiting my sister this week and she has a newborn, so I don't expect her to be able to call at a moment's notice. my mom often misses calls or maybe she's visiting my aunt. my buddy lives on the east coast and I'm on the west coast, and he could be doing any number of things.

I wasn't being that serious about being disappointed no one answered because it's 5-6pm for them on a Saturday. I wanted to catch up with people after a stressful week of moving instead of doing something compulsive.

My friends and I have a habit of picking up conversations after weeks/months of forgetting to get back to each other. we're kind of like old people in that way.

if i left a message or text that I had an emergency and needed their help, that'd be different. each of these people would give their best effort to help even though I'm over 1000 miles away.
